1. I have just spend an exhorbitant amount of time downloading pictures of M@ry-Kate, before and after. (Yes, she is an0rexic, in my opinion.) This is not something I would tell anyone I know in real life. M-K's back in those photos used to be MY back. I miss my bones. I'm not going to say whether or not I intend to get them back, but I wanted those pictures. Anon, shut the hell up.

2. Today I wrote, among other things, about a woman who spent an hour and a half folded "like a pretzel" in her car, fully conscious, with the back wheels of a tractor trailer cab and the front end of the trailer on top of her car. She supposedly did not have any very serious injuries ... it's depressing how anti-news my paper is. My editor didn't want me to call anyone who was involved in the accident, event though I had names. I anywho'd her address and called the number and got her 13-year-old bro, who told me a lot about her. He gave me the rents cell, but they were coming out of the ER and didn't want to talk. I called helen to update her and she told me to knock it off. RRRRR!! We had the cops and firefighters, it was compelling, she said. JHC, why shouldn't you try to get the best story you can get????!!!

I want a real job.

3. M bought a Blondie CD that has one of my favorite songs on it, "The T1de is High." (Okay, I think that's what it's called. You know what I mean.) It's the song that used to play constantly in my head when I was wondering if I should date my boss. I'm glad I did. For once, my flouting of society's social niceties has paid off for me.

4. I live with the most genuinely "nice" and "good" person I've ever met. Why he puts up with a hot-tempered, hot-headed foul-mouthed spatula-waving Irish blonde like me, I don't know.
